No not open I've been waiting it looks as if possibly remodeling whole restaurant still closed
I randomly went in with a friend while on a trip, since he really wanted to go in.I had no regret at all, the fried bun filled with beef was delicious, I really regreted not going there for a proper meal. The place is gorgeous, the interior is a little over-decorated for my taste but it might have been in preparation for Christmas or the new year eve.Aside from that I have nothing to complaint about, even the views from inside was gorgeous !It was a wonderful experience and a must try if someone is visiting the city.
The duck was delicious. Great food and great service! Authentic taste according to my Asian wife.
Excellent experience at Sea Palace. We accidentally arrived one day early for our reservation, and despite it being a very busy night, they accommodated us, which they didn’t have to do because it was our error. Our server was kind and funny and they went out of their way to accommodate my mother, who walks with a cane. They switched the reservation that walked in after us to have the table upstairs that they were going to give us so she didn’t have to climb the stairs. When she got up to find the restroom, someone walked her to a closer handicapped one. These types of things made for an excellent experience. The food and view were very good.
Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful setting. The food was excellent and great service so totally recommended 👌
😃Great good experience. We went here for holiday party and were really excited about the quality. Honestly it's always very busy because of the constant flow of tourists.😀
We did not have a great experience. Meals were brought out one at a time with a 10+ minute gap between. I ordered "Sliced beef in with Sichuan peppers in spicy oil (extra spicy)", I only tasted beef and oil. Service was slow, and felt as minimal as possible. When I was eventually able to flag someone down to pay, she was sympathetic to our concerns.
The best duck we ever had. I've been reading other reviews about service but our experience was quite the opposite. The best service we ever had in a restaurant and the food was out of this world.
A legendary location with nice food. Do not forget to book a table beforehand. Waiting staff may be overwhelmed by the amount of patrons...so be patient
Fabulous restaurant. lovely birthday meal. beautiful building on the water.
Good food and super sweet staff, amazing, I loved it. Lots of white tourists there
Such a lovely restaurant with good food and staff. The place is clean and the views are great. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam.
Beautiful place and reasonable prices. Food was great. We barely managed to finish our meal, because portion size was huge
Impressive exterior and interior, the place is huge and lovely decorated. The staff was friendly and more than happy to assist, however, the portions were rather small. Not what I consider value for money but worth a visit.
Interesting location. Being a floating restaurant inspired by Chinese architecture, Sea Palace is a staple of Amsterdam. In terms of service, some waiters are slow and uninterested some really fast and attentive. We had to wait a lot for our orders to be taken, about half an hour, until another waiter spotted us. The food came really fast but again, we had to wait ages for drinks. One of the waiters was really attentive, explained all the dishes, was fast with our order. When it comes to food we tried some things from the dim sum menu, which is available until 16:00. Most of the food was good but we had some type of squid meatballs which were really greasy. But as for all international restaurants you really need to discover what you like and what you dislike.I wouldn't try also the lobster with garlic because it is not worth it. An expensive and mediocre dish.
Great atmosphere and views, but poor quality food, especially for the price. We arrived and the decorations were nice and atmospheric. The staff were a bit disorganized with our booking but service was good. The views of the canals were fantastic. We ordered the China set menu at €38.5 apiece. However the portions were small and the ingredients of poor quality and it showed. Would not go again.
Service is phenomenal, everyone is warm and made us feel specially welcomed. The location & interior ambience is unbeatable, perfect for a romantic special occasion. We were blown away by the cold Sichuan chicken appetizer, and saved the leftover sauce to drizzle over pretty much everything.
Fantastic looking restaurant in a great location, delicious foods and the service was really good. What more can you ask for?! We had an enjoyable evening here.
Had an excellent meal here with my husband during our recent stay .Booked on line very easily ,was given a window view ,.Staff was extremely polite ,attentive ,service was quick and good was delicious .We ordered the set meal for 2 ,great value ,will definitely come again
Amazing food and atmosphere, incredible detail in the interior of the restaurant. The food is more expensive than most places but in my opinion worth it. The waiter was very happy to assist and recommend dishes. The duck was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Would recommend for large parties.
One of my go to spots for yum cha/dim sum and Chinese food. Being away from Melbourne, it's hard to find a solid Chinese cuisine offering, so Sea palace definitely is a go to, amongst a couple of others. The lobster, Peking duck are also delicious. Fyi - the dim sum menu is not available all day, but there is a selection of the favorites offered in the evening for those looking to satisfy a craving.
My mom and I tried it on a lark. We loved it. It was great food and drinks. We went back 3 times while we were in Amsterdam. Had difficulty getting a window seat, even when we reserved one. Will go back again. Dim sum menue is very good. Great food.
I'm giving 4 stars based exclusively on the delicious smell as I could not get a table. I'll just have to visit Amsterdam again.
Extremely overpriced It’s a shame I have had to score this so low as the location is amazing (views of the water) ambiance and decor are nice and staff are lovely but this place is SO expensive! I do not know how they have stayed in business so long. The food is mediocre at best for the prices. White rice is compulsory with every main dish meaning you can’t mix things up with ordering different dishes as I usually would. If you want just the experience that’s fine but if you want good food for reasonable prices give this one a miss.
Super nice restaurant, in a very special setup (floating in the water, with amazing views).Huge main floor, with decorations and details everywhere. Comfortable tables and a very very clean space in general.Food was nice! It looked handmade for us, and portions where okay, average. Maybe a bit pricey, but nothing too crazy.Service was really kind, but also quite slow, which made the experience a bit worse.
Pretty good restaurant. Had some dim sum, spicy beef and honey roasted pork. The jasmin tea is also very nice, the service was a bit slow but the interior and the view where great
A must see stop in Amsterdam. Great food, incredible atmosphere, and a terrific wait staff. 10/10 would recommend to all my friends. You won’t be dissatisfied.
Had a very nice experience here for Chinese New Year tonight! Our server was so nice and very friendly! The decor was beautiful and the food was great. Awesome dumplings and noodles. Everyone was working really hard this evening and it showed. Thank you, we'll be back!
Beautiful oriental decoration, inside and outside, day or night. Good choice of dishes and variety of prices. Generous doses. The home made ice tea was a nice surprise. Nice staff.
Best roasted duck, delicious Dim Sum and a great location in Amsterdam!
Amazing food, fancy decor and all by the side of the canal.. the authentic taste of Chinese is retained. We ordered a bunch of dimsums and they were all great. The roasted duck was amazing too, but it was a little sweet for our palette (Indians have a savoury incline). Please reserve a table, the waiting line often is as long as an hour.
It seems strange to say that one of the best meals I had in Amsterdam was in a place that, from the outside, looks like some place you'd find in the Midwestern US where the locals like the $9.99 all you can eat buffet. Looks are deceiving in this case as the food was really good and the service matched. I'll go back the next time I'm in town.
Initially thought it was gimmicky with the exterior building, but the food is good and legit Chinese food. The Chinese New Year menu is very good for value and the staff were very helpful in accommodating gluten free requests. Thanks!
Food was amazing. Very opulent surroundings with many Chinese artefacts. Loved it.
Amazing view as it sits on the water and you can look out and see the lights of Amsterdam. They have a coat area so you don't have to lug everything around. The service was really great and attentive. Cocktails were delicious but a bit pricey. I have to say it was the best Chinese we ever had. I had the duck which was carved for me, It was so tender and full of flavor, it being 37 euros you would expect no less.
I have rarely experienced such a level of hospitality. I came for dinner after a long day of meetings visiting the city. Our waiter. Chi, was the kindest, most thoughtful and attentive server I've encountered in years. He advised us on menu items that were vegetarian, and was pleasant and funny in a way that felt like we had been coming to this restaurant for years. Plus the food was delicious and the view and setting were spectacular. I will be back, and you should go if you're thinking about it. If you can, ask for Chi.
More grandiose in name and model. Service was OK, food was diverse and well-prepared. Proper dumplings!
Nice place to be. Very nice food. We where with 38 people for a diner. Everything went very smoothly. Great view at the city.

Lovely place, very helpful staff.I was there on the 26th of Jan 2020. The Guy that attended to me was from Greece. He was so helpful and cautious.
We were 3 people. At the beginning from outside it looked quiet impressive and we thought it's a tourist trap, but as longer we stayed inside we understood that it's the total opposite. As you enter to the restaurant you feel like you've been taken into a Time adventure in China. As for The food- if you're at least 2 people I recommend you to ask for the deal which includes a starter course, a soup, main course and a dessert. We couldn't believe that we actually got all these for a fair price and were ready to pay even more. As for the stuff- The service and attention we got from them we're accompanied with a lot of patience and they even apologized that they couldn't dedicate themselves a bit more to us since it's a busy day.
Good food and service. Selection of dim sum is quite small, what they have, is well made and tasty.
Went with one of the menu options that included a few appetizers and a main dish containing meat and shrimps, finished up with a nice desert. Food was fantastic, service outstanding, the place itself nicely decorated. A place to go back to.
Best shrimps I have ever eat. Service was okay but they order took too long and dishes we're coming out one per person, mine had an additional delay. Food quality is superb and portions are generous as well. I'm not giving a 5 star review because of issues with our order. It seems to me they need to improve a little bit order management when dealing with large amount of clients, as they usually have. Other than that, outstanding place.
I definitely cannot recommend going to this restaurant. The only nice thing about it was the view. Even though we had a very bad located table. There were a lot of free tables at the window, but we were not allowed to sit there even though we had a reservation. Also, the waitress was unfriendly and did not even ask once if everything was ok. My food came 15min before my friend got her food, so it was already cold when we started eating. As I'm vegetarian, I ordered a vegetarian main dish, which consisted of a broccoli (yes, just one broccoli cut into pieces, like on the picture). By the way, they charged me 20€ for this broccoli.
Really cool floating restaurant, picturesque and really tasty food. Reccomend the pork belly, dim sum and noodles.
What I liked:. The dimsum surely get my approval & appreciation. We'll be back Sunday to have more! . The view over the water from the windows is great with wide vista across the city.. Service is decent & quick. What I didn't like:. Wasn't impressed about other dishes I've had! Fail with the ribs & the noodles! I felt these were not freshly cooked...
Very nice Chinese food, natrually flavored. I can highly recommend the spicy beef. Soups and service was not as perfect, especially when considering the price range.
Food was good. Didn't give 5 star only because no sauces were provided for rice and appetizers...only upon request, and even then in very small quantity for party of 4 to share. Atmosphere was very inviting with authentic asian artifacts throughout. Last day of trip while visiting Amsterdam.
Great Boat , excellent interior . 3 floors . Cloak room at entrance . Only downside was if you ordered different meals it came in different stages . Otherwise quite good
Very expensive and literally no options for vegetarians. Ambience is great.. very very slow service.
